Adverse Weather Travel Update

cheap flightsThe weather which caused much disruption to airports across the country yesterday has today been cleared, allowing most airports to resume normal service. However, there are likely to be a small number of cancellations as a result of yesterday’s disruption.

Passengers are once again advised to check with their airline for the very latest information before leaving for the airport. It is also advisable to check with the following airport operators:

• BAA has information for Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Southampton.

• The Manchester Airport Group has information for Manchester, East Midlands, Bournemouth and Humberside airports.

Airport Summary
• Heathrow: Both runways remain open; a near full service has been resumed. Heathrow Express is operating services between the airport and London Paddington.
• Gatwick: A near full service is in operation today. Please check with BAA before leaving.
• Stansted: A full service is expected today. There are no planned cancellations.
• Southampton: The runway at Southampton was closed this morning due to snow. The airport is attempting to reopen as soon as possible.
• Glasgow:   The airport is open, with a near normal service in operation.
• Edinburgh: The airport is open but a number of cancellations are expected.
• Aberdeen: The airport is open, with a near normal service in operation.
