Search engine technology company Skyscanner has expanded its global reach by introducing a number of new internet domains across six domains in Asia and Europe.
This week sees the first seats going on sale for a new route from transavia.com for direct flights from London Gatwick to Rotterdam. The Dutch airline will commence flights from November 2nd, with one way flights starting from £46.
American Airlines has announced it will add a new service between Manchester and New York JFK in time for next summer.

Low cost airline Sky Europe has suspended all its flights with immediate effect following the news that it has filed for bankruptcy. The Slovakia-based airline operated cheap flights from Luton and Manchester airports.
Customers who are booked on flights to Portugal with TAP over the Bank Holiday weekend should be aware that industrial action has been threatened by many of the airport service providers used by Portuguese airline.
Disruptions are to be expected at two of the major airports in the UK this Bank Holiday weekend as workers at Manchester and Gatwick airports have voted in favour of industrial action. The new search facility will allow Skyscanner users search over 200,000 properties across 195 different countries, comparing prices from a number of accommodation suppliers such as Holiday Inn, Hilton and laterooms.com.
Research from cheapflights.co.uk suggest that recent online flights searches to some of the UK’s typically favourite holiday destinations have fallen in recent weeks.
