EasyJet Unveils New Routes For 2009

Low cost airline easyJet has unveiled a number of new routes for 2009, including nine new routes from the UK. Within a matter of months easyJet will operate cheap flights to new destinations from Newcastle, Bristol, Liverpool and Manchester airports with flights starting from £22.99 including tax.In particular, a four times weekly flight from Liverpool to Naples and a twice weekly flight from Manchester to Corfu are the highlights of easyJet’s new routes. The new UK routes and the dates they commence are listed below:
Newcastle - Malta (2 April)
Bristol - Corfu (22 May)
Bristol - Bastia (24 May)
Liverpool - Dubrovnik (2 June)
Liverpool - Naples (1 June)
Liverpool - Bordeaux (2 June)
Manchester - Corfu (4 May 09)
Manchester - Athens (1 Aug)
Manchester - Bastia (9 Aug)
Bristol - Corfu (22 May)
Bristol - Bastia (24 May)
Liverpool - Dubrovnik (2 June)
Liverpool - Naples (1 June)
Liverpool - Bordeaux (2 June)

EasyJet chief executive Andy Harrison said: "We start the new year with 14 new routes which will be popular with sun seekers, city breakers and business travellers alike,
"We are proud - keep growing in Liverpool and Manchester, where we will base additional aircraft that will boost the local economy, create much needed jobs and give even more destinations at our famously low fares."
As part of the expansion, easyJet will also station additional aircraft at Liverpool and Manchester airports - cope with the extra capacity.
