Eurostar Adds Eleventh Daily Service To Brussels
Eurostar is to add an 11th daily service to the London-Brussels route in order to meet "fast-growing demand". As of December 14th, the service will leave London at 11.04, arriving in Brussels at 14.03. The Belgium departure will see the service leaving Brussels at 12.59 and arriving in London at 14.03. Tickets for the new service can be booked from August 16th (times are subject to Network Rail confirmation).
Passenger numbers on the route have increased by 30% since November 2007 when the journey time dropped to one hour and 51 minutes. Eurostar spokesman Simon Montague expressed delight at the strong increase in passenger numbers on the London-Brussels route, adding:
“The 11th daily London-Brussels service will give travellers more options when planning a trip to the Belgian capital or a connecting journey to a destination elsewhere in Belgium, the Netherlands or Germany."
