Flybe Annouces More Summer Routes For 2009

flybe flightsAdditional cheap flights from Flybe will be jetting off in the summer of 2009 as the low cost airline announced more routes from Exeter, Southampton and Birmingham Airport.

Flights to France are high on Flybe’s agenda next year as new routes include Exeter to Nice, Southampton to Perpignan and Birmingham to Toulouse and La Rochelle.

In total, Flybe’s latest route expansion means that the budget carrier will be operating a total of 181 routes during the summer 2009 period, 28 of which will be served by franchise partner Loganair.

Flybe’s chief commercial officer Mike Rutter was pleased that the airline is going from strength to strength:

“Our summer schedule shows us continuing to strengthen our operations across the UK and Europe with many of our summer routes from the 2007-08 schedule returning from March next year as well as increased frequency on many of our services from key bases."

Flybe will also continue to operate flights to Spain with popular destinations such as Malaga and Alicante. Flybe is based at Exeter Airport, England and is the largest independent regional airline in Europe.
