Newcastle - Egypt Flights On Sale From Jet2.com - Wed. 13 May. 2009
Jet2 will commence flights to Sharm el Sheikh from Newcastle Airport later this year in a bid to capitalise on the growing popularity of Egypt as a holiday destination. Both flights and holidays to Egypt have proved attractive options to tourists this year as British holidaymakers continually seek out destinations outside of the ‘Euro zone’. Recent investment in new hotels has also helped to boost the destination.

This morning at 9am, the first direct flights from Leeds Bradford to New York City departed on board a Boeing 757 operated by Jet2.com. The first of four, three-night shopping trips to the Big Apple has been organized courtesy of Jet2holidays.com and its sister airline Jet2.com.

Low cost airline Jet2.com has come out ahead of its rivals in a recent customer satisfaction survey. The report from the July edition of Which magazine suggests that after surveying 30,000 of its members, Jet2 is rated better for customer service than any other budget airline in the British Isles, including easyJet and Ryanair.

Low cost airline Jet2.com is to go transatlantic, with the announcement that flights to New York have now gone on sale. Flights from Leeds Bradford airport will take advantage of the new route which commences in November, as part of an initial four services.

Jet2holidays.com is switching to an ATOL license to provide customers with an added level of cover for its customers. The scheme previously offered by Jet2holidays.com did not expand to cover destinations that were offered by its sister airline, Jet2.com.
