Wednesday, 02 July 2008
Online travel agents Ebookers and Orbitz have agreed a deal which will see them will provide travel services for MSN in the UK and USA. Ebookers and Orbitz, who both provide worldwide travel services online, have replaced MSN’s previous partners Expedia.
Services to be provided by the affiliated pair include flights, holidays, cruises and car rental. Ebookers will look after UK customers through MSN.uk, whilst Orbitz will concentrate on its US counterpart, MSN.com.
The deal means that MSN’s UK customers will be able to take advantage of the Ebooker Price Guarantee which promises to refund the difference should customers find a cheaper deal on another website.
Steve Barnhart, CEO and president of Orbitz Worldwide, said: “Our partnership with MSN will provide additional visibility and traffic to both Orbitz.com and ebookers.com, strengthening growth in both the United States and the United Kingdom. As one of the largest internet destinations in the world, MSN represents another significant win for growing our co-branded distribution."
