Severe UK weather grounds flights

newsSevere weather throughout the UK is causing flight cancellations and delays across the country.
 
Passengers due to fly today or over the next few days are being advised to contact the airline they’re due to fly with or departure airport for the latest information.
 
At Edinburgh airport, departing flights are being assessed on an individual basis and the hub is closed to inbound flights.
 
The airport has reported significant delays and 42 cancellations already so far.
 
Part of the terminal and the taxi rank has been damaged, although the access road to the airport has been re-opened.
 
Cancellations and delays are also reported at Gatwick, Heathrow and Glasgow airports.
 
On Brittany Ferries, the Portsmouth to St Malo service has been diverted to Cherbourg due to adverse weather.
