Skyscanner expands with six new international domains
Search engine technology company Skyscanner has expanded its global reach by introducing a number of new internet domains across six domains in Asia and Europe.
Skyscanner’s new domains include those in Norway, Denmark, Turkey, South Korea, Taiwan and China.
The site, which help users search for cheap flights, amongst other travel products, is already available in 20 different languages and over 60 different currencies. Business development director Barry Smith said:
“The launch of these new domains further increases Skyscanner’s visibility in these markets and local search engines.
“With more than 60% of our traffic now coming from outside of the UK and Ireland, it’s vital that Skyscanner is accessible to everyone, not just English speakers, which is why we are dedicated to creating a travel search site which is as international and multilingual as possible.”
Skyscanner can also be used to search for hotels, car hire and holidays. Founded in 2001, the site aims to show as many prices as it can, making search results easy and flexible to use as possible.
