Thomson To Launch Personalised Web Service For Online Customers

thomson holidaysThomson Holidays is launching a personal website for its customers towards the end of the summer which will enable users to maintain all of their holiday details in one place online.

The MyThomson service will initially be made available for customers of the Thomson Premier collection – a leading selection of 4 and 5 star hotels from the  top four brands A la Carte, Platinum, BeachClub and Sensatori – although this will then be rolled out to include all Thomson online customers.

Using MyThomson, customers will be able to view essential information on their destination, including weather forecasts, hotel and resort details and also links to videos and photos.
Other useful details include directions and travel information from their home to the airport, plus the chance to buy some last minute holiday extras such as airport parking, car hire, holiday insurance and resort excursions – all of which will be relevant to the customer’s trip.

Jeremy Gidley, CRM general manager of TUI Travel UK confirmed that their own research showed that online customers “often wanted even more information about their holiday” and added:
“This new personalised website enables the customers to choose what they want to see when they want, and also provides a lot more engaging features and content.”

"Importantly, we’re not trying to take away the human element – if a customer still has questions unanswered, they are able via MyThomson to email the Thomson resort team in their holiday destination for expert local knowledge and advice.”
