Thursday, 17 April 2008
Thomson holidays has announced that it is to introduce more flexible holiday packages with 10 and 11 night holidays available from summer 2009. The announcement suggests Thomson wants to position itself further away from the 7 and 14 night traditional package holidays.
From summer 2009, Thomson destinations featuring 10 and 11 night holidays will include Greek and Turkish destinations including Skiathos, Thessaloniki, Halkidiki and Antalya.
Thomson holidays have also announced that a number of programmes it offers will be revised with new resorts and hotels. Thomson’s long haul offering within the Faraway Shores range will be expanded with the introduction of Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Aruba and Sri Lanka, whilst the Thomson Premier collection will unveil a new hotel called Sensatori in Riviera Maya of Mexico. A range of new destinations have been added to the Thomson Platinum brand which include Aruba, Cape Verde, Agadir, Ibiza, Croatia, Dominican Republic and Sri Lanka.
