Travelzoo today announced that they attracted over 1.25 million UK Internet users during the month of May with an increase of more than 600,000 unique users from the previous month. The figures released also reveal that the number of page views per user increased by 66% month on month as Travelzoo leapt 22 positions in the list of most visited UK travel sites from April to May.
Travelzoo launched its new site on 10 May with new features including a ‘deal of the week', a travel search facility for flights and hotels known as SuperSearch and a regional e-mail alert service known as Newsflash. Travelzoo Europe Managing Director, Chris Loughlin said: "With over 1.25 million unique users per month, and more than 700,000 weekly subscribers to the UK edition of the Travelzoo Top 20 newsletter, we are able to offer UK travel advertisers significant, targeted advertising opportunities to a high quality audience of travel enthusiasts."
Travelzoo also report that in the last 12 months, over 500 travel companies have so far advertised with them including African Safari Club, British Airways, Crystal Holidays, Cosmos Holidays, Dream Ticket, Expedia.co.uk, Fast Track Holidays, Jet2, Flight.co.uk, Flight Centre, Iglu.com, Monarch Airlines, Olympic Holidays, Pure Holidays, Roomex, ThomasCook.com and Venere.
Travelzoo's European publications include the Travelzoo website, the Travelzoo Top 20 e-mail newsletter, the Newsflash e-mail alert service and SuperSearch, a travel search engine. A French version of the Travelzoo Top 20 will launch in July. Travelzoo has operated in Europe since May 2005 and has offices in the UK, Germany, France and Spain.
