World Snowboard Day Announced For December 23rd
World Snowboard Day has been announced for Sunday, December 23. Because of the success of European Snowboard Day in 2006, the event is now promoted to worldwide status meaning snowboarding fans from all over the world will be able to celebrate the winter sport and combine it with a Christmas snowboarding holiday.
Organized by EuroSIMA (European Boardsports Industry Manufacturers Association), this international event will be supported by the World Snowboard Federation, clubs, riders and some major snowboarding resorts. World Snowboard Day will appeal to snowboarders from all backgrounds, from the advanced pro riders to beginners, whilst participating resorts are to offer free snowboard access for the day.
Opening the winter season, the World Snowboard Day will offer many free activities in different resorts including snowboard lessons, snowboard equipment testing, snowboard contests and concerts.
