Friday, 20 June 2008

cruise holidaysOnline Travel Agents directline-holidays.co.uk are offering the 2 million visitors of their group of travel websites a sneak preview of their new dedicated cruise site directline-cruises.co.uk.

Visitors to directline-holidays.co.uk, directline-flights.co.uk, directline-skiing.co.uk and directline-citybreaks.co.uk will be given the chance to look around the new site and are invited to provide feedback and sign-up for special offers for when the cruise site officially launches later this year.

www.directline-cruises.co.uk will, upon its full release, feature cruise deals from all the major cruise lines including Costa, Celebrity, P&O, Fred Olsen, Royal Caribbean, Princess, Windstar, Carnival, Cunard and many more. Customers will be able to browse cruise holidays by destination, cruise line, cruise ship or by cruise voyage.

The new site already has an extensive section dedicated to Caribbean cruises, with guides to the islands featured on the most popular cruise voyages, as well as detailed guides to cruise ships from all the major cruise lines which will allow users to research everything from onboard entertainment to cabin sizes. directline-cruises.co.uk will also feature destination guides to cruise resorts all over the world, including the Mediterranean, South America, Europe, Africa, North America and the Middle East, as well as a dedicated section to River cruising – a sector which has received enormous growth rates in recent years.

A record number of Britons are expected to take a cruise holiday this year, whilst the average age of people choosing this type of holiday is also falling. Around 1.5 million Britons are expected to take a cruise in 2008, up 13% from 2007. directline-cruises.co.uk Sales Director Matthew Flint said:

“A substantial increase in demand for cruise holidays, inspired us to extend the range of products we could offer our existing customers. It seemed logical to that we would ask for visitor feedback at the first opportunity.”

Visitors to directline-cruises are encouraged to sign up to the directline-cruises newsletter which will update users when the site goes live.
